Biography 

The Javus Quartet is a young string quartet from Salzburg consisting of Marie-Therese Schwöllinger, Alexandra Moser, Anuschka Cidlinsky and Oscar Hagen.
2016 the quartet was formed during their studies at Mozarteum Salzburg. The quartet is particularly influenced by Lukas Hagen. At the moment they continue their studies with Johannes Meissl in Vienna. Eberhard Feltz, Gerhard Schulz, Hatto Beyerle, Valentin Erben, Michael Vogler, Rainer Schmidt, Thomas Adès, Alexander Pavlovsky were particularly important for their artistic development.
In 2017 they were awarded the 2nd prize at the Chamber Music Competition C.R.D.M. in Udine and 2020 the audience prize at the Irene Steels Wilsing Competition at „Heidelberger Frühling“.
They partook in the renowned festivals such as Mattseer Diabelli Sommer, Mondseer Musiktage, Allegro Vivo Festival, Klangreisen Festival, Kammermusikfestival Salzburg, Musethica Festival Israel and Masterclasses at IMS Prussia Cove, Isa Festival, at Kloster Frenswegen and at Villa Musica.
​They perform regularly on stages in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, highlights of the 2021/22 include concerts at Musikverein Wien and Stiftung Mozarteum.

Marie-Therese Schwöllinger

Violine

Born 1996 in Austria, Marie-Therese studied with Lukas Hagen at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg and with Stephan Picard at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns-Eisler“ in Berlin. At austrian violin competitions she received many first prices, as a soloist and chamber musician and won the international “Ars nova competition” 2012 in Trieste, Italy. In 2011 she was selected to participate at the “Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy” of the Vienna Philharmonics and had the opportunity to work with some of the members. She was the concertmaster of the Salzburger Regional Youth Orchestra. She received further musical Impulses from Ulf Wallin, David Frühwirth, Barbara Doll und Leonidas Kavakos and Rainer Schmidt. Since 2015 she is a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and worked with conductors like Kent Nagano, David Afkham, Christoph Eschenbach, Philippe Jordan and Daniel Harding and played in the most important concert halls in Europa with soloists like Gautier Capucon, Frank Peter Zimmermann und Christian Gerharer. Since 2017 she is also a member of the orchestra „European Philharmonic of Switzerland“. She performed at prestigious festivals such as Diabelli Sommer Mattsee, Monte Castelli Music Festival, Kronberg Academy Mit Musik Miteinander, Verbier Festival, Aurora Festival, Eggenfelden Klassisch And Hohenstaufen Akademie. There she played with Lukas Hagen, Clemens Hagen, Iris Juda Hagen, Herbert Schuch, Thomas Reif, Timothy Ridout, Alena Baeva, Ryszard Groblewski and Kian Soltani.

Alexandra Moser
Violine

Alexandra (1995) received her first violin lesson at the age of four. Soon she was accepted to the class of  Lukas Hagen and Christine Maria Höller at Mozarteum University Salzburg.
She is member of organisations like LiveMusicNow and Musethica international.
In November 2018 She finished  her Bachelor degree violin at  University Mozarteum as a student of  Lukas Hagen.
In the last few years she performed at numerous festivals like Mattseer Diabelli Sommer, Mondseer Musiktage, Salzburger Festspiele, Mozartwoche Salzburg, Akzente Salzburg and Israel International Festival.
Additionally to that, Alexandra had the possibility to work with Nora Chastain, Rainer Schmidt, Pierre Amoyal, Friedemann Eichhorn, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Vadim Gluzman, and David Frühwirth.
Currently she is studying at the Musik Akademie Basel with Barbara Doll.

Anuschka Cidlinsky

Viola

Born 1996 in Germany, Anuschka studied with Thomas Riebl at Mozarteum Salzburg and Nobuko Imai in Amsterdam.
She won the second prize at the Dutch National Viola Competition and the first prize at the Streichwerk International Competition in Berlin.  She received further musical impulses from Tabea Zimmermann and Hariolf Schlichtig. As a passionate chamber musician Anuschka performed with Maxim Vengerov, Valentin Erben, Martin Beaver and Martin Stadtfeld. She performed at prestigious festivals such as „Mit Musik Miteinander“ of Kronberg Academy, Rheingau Festival, Salzburger Festspiele, the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad and the Verbier Festival.

Oscar Hagen

Cello

Oscar Hagen was born 1996 in Salzburg, Austria. He studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Giovanni Gnocchi and is currently studying with Stefan Kropfitsch at the University of Music and performing arts in Vienna. The summer of 2015 he won the first prize at the Premio Crescendo Competition. 2015 and 2016 Oscar was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and 2017 and 2019 he participated at the summer academy of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. He won the audition for the academy of the Tonkünstlerorchester Wien where he played the 2018/2019 season.
